UMBC currently plays in the Melbourne Winter Baseball League. This league is predominately the men’s senior competition, but women are welcome and encouraged to participate.

The 2022 Winter League season runs for 20 weeks from late April through to September on a Saturday afternoon, starting on Saturday 23 April and ends on Saturday 10 September with the Grand Final. The fixtures, results and ladders for the MWBL winter league can be found here.

Training

  • Whole Club Training: Wednesday (5-8pm at Melbourne Uni Oval)
  • Hitting Training: Thursday (5-7:30pm at the Melbourne Uni Oval hitting tunnels)

Game Day

  • Saturday (games start 12:15pm or 2:40pm, with an hour of warm-up beforehand)

Locations

  • This season is formatted in a consecutive ‘home and away’ rotation, of which UMBC will host another club at Ross Straw Field for their home games, then travel away the next weekend to compete against a different club. The addresses for clubs in our league can be found here.

A note for parents, no player under the age of 14 years is permitted to play in this league.
